Support from #StrideForSheffield

19th May 2020

Steel City Striders is proudly supporting Stride for Sheffield, a virtual event open to all Sheffield’s runners, walkers, cyclists and their families and friends.

What’s the challenge?

To run, walk or cycle as far as you can in just one hour during the week and to raise funds for Sheffield’s foodbanks and homeless services – whilst making sure we all strictly adhere to the social distancing rules.

Who can join in? Everyone – whether your exercise is to walk a mile or so, go for an hour’s run or pound out the miles on your cycling turbo trainer – all are welcome. Please feel free to invite all your family and friends to join in.

What do I have to do? When you’ve completed your hour’s exercise, simply tell us what you’ve done and how far you’ve gone, and we’ll publish the results. And if you’d like to add a photo or story on social media, that would be great. Please log exercise from one hour only during each week.

When does the challenge start? From 09:00 on Saturday 2nd May 2020.

How do I log what I’ve done? Simply follow this link and fill in the short form – and we’ll do the rest:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdyoV31wZXLlWrsd2FkQ3TMUYT8ysZ7k1hzhOOhj2liotyCrQ/viewform

Please note by completing the form you give consent to Steel City Striders publishing the information submitted.

Where can I see the results? We’ll post the results on the Steel City Striders Facebook page and website at least once a day during the week – so we’ll see how many people have joined in and how far we’ve travelled.

How can I donate to Sheffield’s foodbanks and homeless services?
